Default Bayou 220 will not start

2000 Bayou Will not start nor sound like it even is catching. Have good spark. Have good fuel flow and have tried starting fluid down breather element. starter hasn't worked in years so use the pull start with no battery. It started just fine but I noticed it was almost out of gas, went to get the gas can and it either died or ran out of fuel and now nothing I do will get it to start. I'm sure the kill switch is in the correct position. I've tried a new plug to no avail, I tried the old plug after torching it dry. I've tried a little gas down the plug hole. I've tried every choke position possible. If I hook a battery to it I can see that the green neutral light is on. Can I assume the electrical is Ok because I get good spark? I got, air, fuel and spark and I think good compression since it was just running and feels good? Pulling my shoulder out trying to figure it out, what can I Try?

Most likely, you have pulled some dirt or water into the jets with the dregs of fuel that were in the tank. Clean the carb out. No rebuild kits, just remove float bowl, take out the jets and blow through them and the holes they came from out with compressed air. Make sure you can see through the jets before re-fitting. If it doesn't fire up, fit a new plug "just in case."

May be time to fit a new starter and battery, sometimes all it needs is a bit more turning over than you can get with the pull start.
