The 220KLF had AC ignition, (unlike the KLF300 which is DC) so will need a kill wire from the CDI and an earth, to kill the spark when you switch the ignition key off, as well as the live from the battery and another wire to the starter circuit & lights. It is two separate switches inside the key switch. You can damage components if you connect it up wrongly.

I got the wiring diagram from this website, and it is too small to make out colours properly, but a red and another wire come from the exciter coil in the alternator to the CDI, these provide AC power to the CDI when the engine is turning. A yellow/red goes from the CDI to ignition switch to kill the spark when switch is turned off. The CDI does not get power from the battery.
