Hit a ditch, then a tree. I survived but the wheeler didn't fair so well. What is bent in this picture? handlebars are straight when picture was taken. Other side is straight. Tie rod is straight. Wheel still spins freely. looks to me like the bracket that holds the hub on is bent. anybody agree? Not sure how that would bend without bending the tie rod,but that's what it looks like to me. Can just the bracket be replaced? This is an old beater 1999 kawasaki bayou 220,really don't want to throw tons of money at it,just want it to be able to turn left at a quicker turning radius then my f250.
Can't tell much from the photos, but if your problem is the wheel is toed in or out too much, just adjust the track rod to suit. It will probably be supposed to toe in or out a bit, the amount will be listed in the workshop manual. All sorts of things can happen to a frame when you hit something. I did a 500 King Quad that looked OK, but wheelbase was 2" shorter on one side to t'other, due to the frame twisting at the front end.
I found some used a arms with hub assemblies for a decent price. Think I may go that route.I tried adjusting the track rod,no luck. The more I look at it,the more it looks like the hub is bent where it mounts to the a- frame. What is considered the right or left side? Right side would be my right as I'm sitting on the 4 wheeler, right?
