Default oil view Glass

I just bought a 99 Kawasaki Bayou 300 4x4 runs good I just changed the oil and filter I added 2 1/2 qts which is about the 2.2 liters it calls for problem is the oil view glass shows nothing I checked and double checked the amount required the manual say 2.2 liter or 2.3 quarts. it starts fine no smoke no knock Im thinking my view glass might be plugged up. anyone else have this issue or a recommendation?
thx

Jack it up at the other side and see if the oil appears, they look empty, then suddenly are full, and the difference in appearance, with clean oil, isn't all that much. Frankly sight glass oil gauges are a pain in the backside. The quantities of oil recommended are a bit flexible too, as do they mean with an oil filter change, or without?

I have the same problem with my 03 Lakota especially when using new oil after a change I added almost 2.5 quarts when it called for 2 if that much 😂. But always has to be on a level ground and when running it obviously will drop just make sure oil filter was not put in backwards I honestly hate the site glass but you know what you put in and should be ok just keep track of milage if possible
