Default Kawasaki bayou 220 1996
Could someone tell me how the gas hoses are connected? The one that goes to the tank and carburetor?

Fairly certain it is the brass fitting at an angle on the LH side of the carb, below and behind the idle speed adjuster.

Merryman is right its low and to the rear of the carb on the left side of the carb
