Your quad is probaly burning to much oil if that is so just take some out

 

I think the above post was in humor(?). However, it is quite possible it's burning oil. The rings could be worn. Before you jump to any conclusions though, you probably should take it into a reputable dealer/service center and have them diagnose it for you. From there you can decide if you want to do it or just have them fix it, since they will give you a real good idea of what's wrong.
