Some guy on the HL forum had a problem with his new Prairie blowing out white smoke and losing power. Hopefully it will be covered under warranty for him. He made it about 6 replies before some butthole came in and said "Why didn't you get a Grizzly". Man, thats just low. At least he had a bunch of guys trying to help him out with it.

I guess you always have a guy or two that has to smart off something though. Would that one instance make me think downwards toward a 650? Hell no! I sure hope it doesn't get blown out of proportion though like every other first time problem that we see.

When I bought the 650 I didn't know about the Grizzly, I taught the Prairie was the more powerfull Quad on the market.

My Dealer told me that the Grizzly is not available yet in Quebec, Beacause I ask him if I can replace my Prairie with a Grizzly. But he told me that the Grizzly wasn't a better Quad than the Prairie.
He ask me if I ever driver a Raptor, because the 660 engine is shaking the entire Quad, it got a lot of vibration, so he taught that the Grizzly will have the same vibration than the Raptor. He told me that the Prairie was a really great engine, no vibration, lot's of tork and I didn't thing the Grizzly was a bette Quad than the Prairie.

the only reason that i wanna change is for the IRS. But the seat is smaller then the Prairie and I'm always riding with my wife so I dont wanna lost space on the seat... And i dont thing that the Grizzly can do more than a Prairie...

So what's the oder thing that cam making me wanna change my Prairie fo a Grizzly ?

I read that post on hl about the motor also. Apparently he didn't properly break in the motor. I don't know if that is what caused the problem or not, though. It will be interesting to see what the problem turned out to be.

Hey, if the person who had the problem w/ the white smoke and loss of power is out there. I had the same problem. Simple solution. The new 650's were coming out overfilled with oil. They build up pressure and release oil into air filter since there is no more drain tubes. I took mine to the dealer; they cleaned it up and drained some of the oil; ran it for a while and it was perfect. Check the oil level in it. That is probably the problem...too much oil.
