I was just wondering if you new how much horse power the Mojaves made out of the box? I have a '91 (I think) that is box stock still.

Good lord, thats low. I figured around 20-22 hp, didnt think it would be so low. If so great, the new quad will feel like a rocket! Maybe I'll throw a post up in the Honda forum since it has so much traffic. Thanks for the help, Aaron.

 

Like I said, that was a total guess.

My reason for coming up with that number is because the Yamaha Warrior only puts out 17hp, and I would imagine that the Mojave is less. I don't know though.

Maybe 22hp at the flywheel, but not at the rear wheels.

Seems like I remember 24 or 26 at the engine. The rear wheel HP would be considerably less. I would guess 16 to 18.

 

Doesnt the 400EX only make 26 hp, or is that at the wheels? If its at the wheels thats a big difference over the Mojave, if not I better get the Raptor. I'm looking for a new quad and was trying to get an idea of what the power would be like compared to the Mojave, if the 400EX only has 2-4 more hp than it probably wont be worth the extra money to me personaly. If thats at the wheels compared to the guessed 16-18 of the Mojave than thats quite a leap and may satisfy me for a little while.
