I was goin between the same to also. I finally decided on the 250ex. i have went and seen it and it just seems like a better machine. It is said to be esay to pull wheelies on and u can modify it so it can be very close to a 300ex. i definatley think u should get the 250ex. It's just the better decision!!!!!!!!

I was just wonderin quadman, what all can you do to a 250EX? Besides the Lakota is already very close to the 300EX and top end is identicle.

I agree with you stebob quadman got his info of th wrong peole that do not own either quad they just are honda biased plus the lakota sport is 2 mph faster than the 250ex and 1.5 slower than 300ex. Plus more pipes exist for it dg Krome power Dg Steel Dg Xccelarator and supertrapp ids 2 defenteily the best one and you can get a jet kit and k&n filter. THe only Pipe i now for 250 is big gun its hard to find a k&n for them if they even make one jet.

The lakota is the better choice. I raced mine and got 3rd on mx.

Redd, Way to go on your race. Good luck on your future races. Have you looked into increasing your counter shaft sprocket 1 tooth?
