What viscosity oil are you 650 owners using? The owners manual say to use 5w-30, 10w-30, 10w-40 or 20w-50 motor oil. Is this right? I've always used something like 80w-90 gear oil. Is it because of the locker?

I've only changed it once, and I used 10w30 atv engine oil. I guess it is because of the friction plates inside the diff.

 

Well, I used 20w-50 engine oil. I just need to get a hold of some of that Mobil 424 fluid and I'll be set. The Mobil stuff is still on back order according to the nearest dealer!

You can order the oil from Granger for $28 a gallon. Just do a search at www.grainger.com.

 

I tried to order from Grainger but they are a wholeseller, they don't sell retail. I tried making up a bogus business name but they wanted a tax number or some other proof of my business.
