I just purcahsed a Prairie 650 this week from my dealer and he didn't know what the covers were when I asked him. Should I call Kawasaki to confirm whether or not I was suppose to receive these at delivery?

 

I finally got my covers. I stopped by my delaer and he played dumb when I told him that Kawasaki said that I am suppose to have them. He took me out back and opened a crate and said see, they are no in there. I told him that they came in a seperate box from his distributor and he said I wonder if its this. I followed him back inside where he had about 6 boxes of the covers, he told me he didn't know what they were(Yeah Right). I guess he has not been giving them to anyone.

 

I went and got mine today. The Sales Manager pointed out in the catalog that there's a photo of the 650 that says they are "optional", so he sent me back to the parts department to order them for a $. While the parts clerk was looking them up, which he couldn't locate in the parts book, the Parts Manger asked him what he was looking for and said "Sh**, did they not put them on during setup again" He went out back and pulled them and said he had four more of them. Looks like Kawasaki needs to communicate with their dealers. They said it was up to the dealer's discretion to throw them in or not...I would think $6800 worth of discretion would be enough.
