Mojave Crank
#1
I know that with the added power of the FST 330cc kit, there is more work needed. My question is, will the stock mojave crank and rod be able to hold up to double the power output? I don't want to start saving money to find it needs another $300-500 dumped into it. Also, will I really need the rev limiter removed? If I do not get it removed and keep the stock cam (I want the same or better low end) will I need stiffer valve springs? Please help!

This is a question you need to ask mickey.
I've picked up on some of his conversations in performance and mods section, that the kick starter was a weak link and could screw up the trany.
He also said he has an electric start kit that remidies the problem.
I suggest you e-mail mickey and he will answer your questions.

you do not have to worry about the crank and rod, they will do just fine. you can run the 330 with stock cam and springs and the rev limiter and get more power throughout your power band. This will keep your bottom end strong. however, the really big power gains are gotten when bigger cams, porting, high rev springs and limiter removal are added. But as these things are added to make more power the rpm range for good power goes up. maybe Mickey will respond to this thread.
Also if you just add the 330 kit and use cams with the compression release, the kick starter ahould be ok. It will kick and start as easy as a stock bore mo. If you have an older model mojave you may want to check into the updated kick start gears from kawi. Not sure what year they changed them to the new design. they are not a significant improvement, but they do help some. Kinda pricey though.
I also suggest you email Mickey with your questions
