Anyone know where I can purchase a plow for the 650 at a decent price? I don't feel like shelling out over $500 for this stupid thing. Just wanted to know if anyone knew of anywhere I could find one cheaper or knew of anyone selling one...

Thanks

Parker

ilini8,
A friend of mine told me about this place and he usually finds the best deal out there. He bought one from them.

If someone knows where you can get one cheaper please post because I am also in the market for one.

I have a snow plow and all the attachments waiting for me to pick up at my dealer. It's all from Cycle Country. If you look around on this web site you'll see a review on the plow. I think the article is called " Hot setup for Snow Plow ". They put it on a Honda Rubi, but they seemed to like it ok. The way they have it setup is exactly the way I am doing it, I have the electric motor attachment for raising and lowering the plow instead of the handle. Like I said I know they are available for the Prairie 650 becase my dealer has them and he actually had them in stock. My total cost for plow, mounting hardware, and actuator (the moter thing) was $440.00 tax and all. But, like I said I haven't put it on yet so I don't know how it's all going to work out. I did put one of these plows on my Suzuki 500 and it worked real well.
You can also go to cycle country's web sit to see all their stuff.
Good Luck

My dealer told me the Moose bottom mount plate won't be available until mid-late February. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

I got my bottom plate in October so Moose is making them. But I live in the US and don't know if it makes a difference.

I have installed both the quad boss/cycle country plows w/ the elctric motor lift set up and the warn plow with elec. lift. If cost is a concern the cycle country plow is least expensive, around $440 w/ manual lift handle. It is the best because when you remove the plow all that is left on the quad is the mounting plate. The 48 inch blade will do the job if you keep up with the snow fall. The trick set up is the electric lift motors that mount on the blade. They require less amperage to raise and lower the blade than a winch, thus less draw on your electrical system. The warn electric lift set up has a large controll mounted to the handlebar that required shifting the bars forward to prevent contact with the gas tank cover or air box cover (on Praire 650). The cycle country controll is 2 small buttons and is a clean look. Either way installation takes about an hour. God luck and happy plowing.
