Guys from digging through some information and doing some research via a borrowed Service Manual. I have put together a little site that contains some specification and information. I hope this helps and by no means is it a sub for the Service Manual it is great I recommend it. Any ideas or changes just let me know and I will try to get it in.
The address is

http://prarie650.tripod.com

Notice the i is missing in prairie. That was intentional sort of a little mistake when entering my site sorry.

DustinMinnesota, I like what you have done. Obviously, you put a lot of research and time into putting this together. Perhaps you could use your ability to put together the various tools one might want to bring along on a long ATV excursion. What size wenches, hex, etc... and don't forget to include a SOG ParaTool and sm Robo pliers.

As far as an exhaust goes I just put an HMF on my and love it. Make sure to get the silencer when you get it 'cause it makes a big difference without robbing you of very much power.

Anyway, great job!!

OldmanWheeler

I noticed you have a FMF pipe on your Kawi. What made you choose this brand as apposed to the Pro circuit pipe. I read the article in ATV Action about the Pro Circuit and they said it made a lot of noise but didn't add any more performance than stock. If they added the spark arrestor and silencer the pipe actually lost top end speed and didn't perform as well as the stock pipe go figger.

In your oppinion is the FMF pipe better than stock, and is it a hole pipe or just an add on? Did you gain any more speed, low end torque, mid range and any thing else you can think of. Basically is there a mild difference or something more drastic? Thanks for your input.

Hey Alltoys, I selected the HMF pipe after visiting with Mike Pendland, Kawasaki's factory rider for the GNCC series. He tested both pipes and felt that the HMF provided the best all around performance. Along with the HMF pipe you will need to rejet your wheeler and modify the air box to get the full advantage of the pipe. I went with Penland's recommendations all the way around including the jet sizes. As soon as I get a chance I'll install the Twin Air air filter and drilled a series of 1" holes in the top of the air box and inserted UNI 1" vent filters. My dealer screwed up and ordered me a slip on but I have the full version of the pipe on the way.

I have a friend who has one on and yes it does make a difference. It is noisier than the stock so I strongly recommend that everyone put the silencer in the exhaust. You won't notice that much difference in power and it will help keep the peace.
