Beauty job eh. That's nice. I have cracked both my cheap plastic rack covers and would like to replace them with something durable and attractive. What thickness of alum checkered plate did you use? Did you make up any plans? How much did the finished job cost you ?(materials and labour)

Well Jett, i dint have any plans, i just turned my rack upside down on the diamond plate and traced / and cut it out it out. Next i had the shop that i bought the metal at take and bend a piece 1 inch X 1/2 inch X 10 feet long and i cut each corner and hand bent it. As I went along i had to clamp it at each corner. After i had it all clamped I took a piece of plywood and made a jig to hold it in place so the welder could weld it. The final step i need to do is im gonna get the rino liner sprayed on it to protect it, and to cut down on the shine. All said and done each plate will weigh 2 pounds. The total price i have invested will be about 100 bucks for both.
