Can anyone help with the strength of these wheels. I know they are cast alluminum but what does that translate into durability?

I almost decided to go with those wheels over the chrome ones. But I didn't because of this exact issue. When I asked how durable the alluminum was compared to chromed steel, they the wheels were suprising strong, but couldn't say for sure if they would hold up to rocks, and jumping and what not. Especially under the weight of a 650 or 700.

My praire...I dont think they would fit very well on the Scrammy. It might be interesting to try that though.

First: These wheels look GREAT. Second: Simple engineering makes these aluminum versions a very durable, strong, yet lighter weight option. These wheels are the first to have a solid construction which greatly increases strength. But my inner-apprehensions would say to buy a set of the steel ones and let someone else buy aluminum and tell us how they work after a season of hard riding.

The C series wheels are cast aluminum, everyone knows that anything cast is going to be porous or have teeny tiny air holes in it. I'm sure the wheels would hold up fine to just about any normal abuse. The Magnums are only $20/ wheel more than the C-series. Take your pick. Too bad Alcoa doesn't make ATV wheels.
