HOW FAST WILL YOUR PRARIE 650 GO?
#1
I am posing this question and would like to find out what the average speed is of the beast that we all seem to either have or want.
Mine is stock right now and the top speed that it has taken me is 61 mph. I am a big guy weighing around 290lbs.
Can all that have a 650 reply to this topic please. It doesnt matter if you have modified it or not. I am very curious if you have modified it. What was your top speed as a stock quad and what did your modifications take your speed to. Include your modifications if you made any please. Also, include your weight, gravity bites away at the speed you know.
Hey, thanks in advance. Lets hear from you now. Dont just read this if you have a Prarie 650, PLEASE LET US KNOW WHAT YOUR SPEEDS ARE.

Mine gets58 to 66 mph depending on temp and humidity. Seems to be quite seceptable to change due to variations in either. Just a thought but we need to keep in mind that anyone who has changed tires to something taller has to use something other than the stock speedo to judge speed as due to the longer rolling circumfrenceof the tire has changed and you'll actually be going faster than registered. I've found that speeding tickets tend to reflect a more acurate reading. Although I don't have 1 on the Prairie yet. Still the tire height vs accuracy has to be a consideration.

I only have a short distance to check top speed. I have about 1000 ft max of road frontage that is somewhat flat, but it goes slightly up hill. I hit 62 stock and 60 with the tires. I might see what it can do this weekend. At my cabin there is about a mile of somewhat flat gravel road. It all depends on if this snow melts. Someday when it warms up, I will check it with my gps.
