3 Year Bumper to Bumper Warranty
#1
Did you guys happen to catch the new ads on TV? It seems Bombardier is offering the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty now. I personally would never own one unless I already had my Top5 quads and needed strickly a utility workhorse. But I hope that this starts a warranty war between manufacturers?

I haven't shopped for the Bombardiers for awhile, but prior to me getting the Kodiak, I checked out the Traxters (mid 2001) and they were offering the 3 year warranty then. The dealer didn't make it sound like the offer was going to last forever, but was more of a promotional offer (to get more Traxters out on the market) That's great if they are offering it again. Maybe that will give the other manufacturers some incentive to increase their warranty, but I don't think so. I don't think the sales of the Traxters have hurt sales from the others (Yamaha, Honda, Polaris, Suzuki, AC). That being the case, the others don't need to increase the duration of the warranty because their machines are still selling in record numbers. I think that no matter what warranty Bombardier offers, the others should increase their warranty to at least 1 year. I know that I would be extremely upset if a quad with 6 month warranty had some expensive breakdown just after the 6 months were up. I think anyone would be. All the machines produced today are designed for and should get years of basically trouble free riding. They even advertise this in their ads. It kind of leaves you wondering that if they're designer to last for years, why don't they offer longer warranty. Sorry for the long message, but the short warranties, get me PO'd. It really doesn't relay much confidence of the manufacturers in their machines.
