nyroc-- I included the side-***** in the width. Looks to be no wider than 10", which does not bother me, for my application. These tires should do all that I want them to do. A good friend of mine turned me on to this combo. He had a Kodiak, now a Grizz. We rode Hat/McCoy for two very wet days......he went in to 4WD. TWICE!!!! It was amazing!

Do u have to have the 1 inch off set rims to run your tire combo? Do they have good rim protection like the bearclaws? I was thinking of the bearclaws in the same size but those have a better side wall tread.

He said he had the 1 inch offset a few posts up. I like bearclaws too, but I want something light. Bearclaws are quite heavy compared to these.

I posted his tire Pics in my website (for now). I know I did not ask, but it doesn't look like anything personal is in them, except you can see his thumb in one of them.

Those are nice rims.

I put those in too.

My brother has a black lab that trips people with his front paws. He is just trying to play. Kids hate it. They scream like they are being eaten alive. But when you get there, they have been tripped and are being licked.

He can't trip a man on dry ground. But, he sometimes can in deep snow or mud.

Yep, Bonehead loves to play with the kids. He is an expert at laying around the house in the way. He'll lay in high traffic areas, just so he won't miss a truck ride!

I read that they were on 1 inch off sets but I was wondering if you had to use them or if they would work okay on stock rims??? Where did u finally find the rear tires?

These tires should work just fine on stock rims. They are about the same width and that is all you are concerned with, the clearance. Got tires at Rocky Mtn. ATV, on "C" series wheels. The pair(rears), ready to put on bike was $275.00 to my door. Frts(wheels&tires) in Spider Trax, will cost the same. Those are coming from E. Ky. Motorsports on Thurs.

What made u go with the 2 different tires and not just use one of the types front and back?

This set up was used by a good/knowledgeable friend on his Kodiak. What sold me was the fact that, when we were at Hat/McCoy for two days, he only used 4WD TWICE! The Maxxis(rear) tires are very light. They won't sap your engine power, and they are great in the mud! Note the side *****.......they DO work.
It occurs to me that we should be talking tires in the "tires" thread, shouldn't we?
