I devoloped a bog on my mojave today and I'm not sure whats causing it. I washed it this morning and usually after I wash it I start it and let it run for a few minutes to dry it off but today I didn't since I had my filter off for a cleaning. My carburatour was covered with a sandwich bag. The bog is only when it idles and I press it all most full throttle it will bog and stall. It wasn't doing this before. I cleaned the carb out today and checked my mix. screw setting. I even checked my valve clearance since I had run out of ideas. Can anyone help me out here???? Thanks alot!!

Could be electrical, I just had to have the stator replaced in mine a few weeks back. Mine developed a bog that would only kick in after the motor ran for 2 or 3 minutes. Check the voltage of the stator and compare it to what the service manual says. Hopefully it is not the stator, mine was repalced and covered under the extended warranty. I checked the price for the new factory stator and it was like $300.00. Hopefully it is just water in your gas or something simple.

This may sound absolutely ignorant, but did you check your fuel petcock? Mine will behave exactly like what you said when I forget to turn my gas on.
Other than that I'd say check all fuel realted things-it sounds like it's starving for gas.

I'm actually going to take the petcock off tommorow and make sure its clean. I've checked everything else I can think of.

The two most common reasons for a a mo bogging are 1: not enough fuel in the float bowl. Usually caused by restriction at the filter on the shut off valve. Remove the two bolts that hold the valve to the tank and take it out. I suggest removing the filters from it completely and blowing through the valve at both on and reserve to make sure it is clean. Leave the filters off. Put it back on and cut the line from the valve to the tank and install a new inline fuel filter there. I have seen this cause bogging on several occasions. 2: the diaphram in the carb is ruptured or leaking. if it does not open properly there will be a bog. Check it by holding it open and then letting go. It should not snap shut, it should close slowly and smoothly. This test will work better with the carb held upside down.

There are other possible causes but I would check these first.

To check the electrical, turn on the headlight to bright and short the two wires on the fan temp sensor on the radiator together. then see if the problem is worse or if it won't hardly run at all. If so it is probably electrical.

good luck
