P 650 Fuel?

I use regular gas with octane booster and some transmission fluid because gas is dry the light oil adds some lubricity as it is consumed. Also a little 2 stroke oil works fine. I have used this combination for years even on lawn mowers and pretty everthing that runs on gas. IN the car I use trany fluid about a half letre or half quart every second fill up. I have never had to have the injectors cleaned even after 400,000 miles. Works and runs excellent.

I run Aviation fuel in many of my home implements, including the P650. I have a tank here at home storing it for the airplane. I buy it from a local fuel distributor and the last I paid was $1.77/gal.
100 LL is such a clean fuel. Carbs stay cleaner, engines start better, and there is some lead for valve lubrication. The 2 stroke engines that are not used often, chain saws, weed eaters, etc. fire right up. When the fuel evaporates, it leaves no residue like regular fuel does.
Finally the smell is less irritating. Especially when running something like a chain saw where you are near the exhaust and not moving.
In the Prairie, I have had guys say "What are you burning in that thing!!?" I never worry about detonation.
Go to the local airport. They should be able to fix you right up.

<< I use 93 from wherever. If you look under the seat they recommend nothing less than 91. >>
The recommendation for 91 is referring to the RON number. What you see on the pump is RON+MON/2. It goes on to say in the owners manual that using the average of the two, 87 octane is all you should need. I've never noticed mine pinging on regular 88 octane fuel so I don't think spending the extra 15-20 cents per/gallon for super is worth it. Higher octane fuels won't get you any more horsepower.
Go here for information about octane and what it will and won't do. There's some good links at the bottom of the page.
For the guy running aviation fuel in his 650. You're right avgas burns cleaner than autogas but it has lead in it and the additives in conventional auto oils are not designed to be run in an engine running leaded gasoline. You may end up with a situation similar to what Mobil got into with the additive package in Mobil1 wreaking havoc in aircraft engines that ran leaded avgas. Just a thought!
