The only thing I do not love about my 650 is the rock hard seat. After a few hours of riding on rough mountain trails it is pretty punishing.

I bought the camo cover from Kawasaki, but you cant get much padding in it.

All of the seat cover people seem to only make different seating options for sport quads (unless I have missed some).

I really like the seat on my dads Kodiak and my old Big Bear. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think the seat is rather comfy myself. Maybe sit on a pillow or somethin.

Kawasaki led the way in motocross with their flat, hard seating set up. I went from riding YZ's, to riding KX's growing up. YZ engines would not hold up for me. Anyway, it took a while to figure out that I could move around on the bike & manuver it better. If you look at motocross bikes now, they are all made that way. If you have a super soft seat, you kinda get stuck instead of being able to respond quickly. Thus the flat seating of the P650 & the moving of the gas tank for a flater seating surface & proper weight distribution.
So, with that in mind, if you change the seat, you change the easy riding ability that was built into this fine machine!

I agree the P650's seat is a little on the hard side, but it doesn't bother me. I did ride a griz 660 and the seat is WAY more comfortable, but like the previous post said you sink into it and its hard to move fast if you need to. They sell universal seat covers, maybe you should try one of those... dennis kirk or rocky mountain might have them.

Kawasaki sells a nice gel filled seat cover for the Prairie 400 and 300, but not for the 650. I’ve been hoping they make one for the 650. You could try it to see if it fits, and let us know. BuyKawasaki.com
