#2
I guess I would say the metaltech ones. why, cuze I have them LOL. They are a little on the expensive side, but they are aluminum, thick, easy to put on (except the middle one needed filing, and you can get them from buykawasaki.com which is repuitable.
They are super strong as far as I can tell. Want to see em?
Click here then click the metaltech link

lackdog--- I was looking at your pix as you were posting your reply! WIERD!!!???? Nice tires. I have the "C's", and love'em.
What are all the plates and axle guards gonna cost me?
Do you ever make it down to the Hatfield/McCoy Trails? How about Wayne Nat'l. Forest in S.E. Ohio?
We need to organize a P-650 ride somewhere, here in the midwest.!!

I just went to buykawasaki and all the metaltech skidplates cost 349.80 plus shipping. Thats for the 2 cv guards, front skidplate, middle skidplate and diff skidplate.
I have never rode those areas you mentioned. I would like to check em out though. I would also like to get a p650 ride together.

I don't now if you have the ability but I made my own with some 1/8 aluminum and some 3/16 thick HMS plastic. This plastic is used on river boats so they can skim over rocks and not bang up the bottom of their baot. Or buy the aluminum skid plate for around $100 and install the plastic yourself its easy to do and its well worth it.

alltoys-- Thanks for the suggestion. As MonteSS said, do you have some pix?
I do have the capabilities to cut and form the aluminum, but would like some measurements/or drawings. Yep, I'd love to copy a nice "store bought" plate!
I am not familiar with HMS. Is that a high-density, reinforced poly? Guess I'll look it up.
Thanks, Mike

Sorry no pics I don't now how to put pics to the web as of yet. Actually I have the plate on the floor its in two pieces so it will mount easier. The front of the plate mounts in front of the winch so winch and under belly is well protected. I guess the plastic is called HCMS plastic it is also used on chain runs in Saw Mills. There are very long chains and they run in metal runners like 2in C-channel for instance. The plastic is put inside the channel so the chain can run on top of it reducing wear and tear. The plastic will last for up to a year with heavy use. So this stuff is perfect for the under belly on skid plates. As for dimensions if you can wait till monday I am leaving for the mountains soon and will hopefully kick some Polaris Butt. I have done some mods to the green machine mostly stuff taken off this forum, I just put the 650 back together and decided to check out the forum to see what's up. I will send dimensions for sure probably tueday for sure and list my mods to boot.
