when you turn the key to the on and off position you hear a noise from the ingition and you are suppose to hear it that is normal, but after your ride it for a while and turn the key off it makes a noise like its skipping or hesitating and u knock the housing for it and it goes away. when you turn the key back on it does it too. when im driving u can hear it if u listen and u tap on the housing and it goes away. can someone tell me whats wrong or if its happened to you.

It is normal that it will make an "engaging like noise" for a second or two when turning on the key and a "disengaging like noise" when the key is turned off.

From my understanding that is the engine braking system recalibrating itself, everytime you shut the machine off. It's normal, they all do it.

Nyroc is a member on this board who knows the P650 in and out. I haven't seen him post for few days, but you will find him on other threads.

The noises you are hearing are completely normal. This is a solenoid motor that controls your engine braking (KEBC) system. If your engine braking seems to be working you do not have anything to worry about. The noise going away when you tap it is probably coincidental since the noises only last a few seconds when you turn the key on or off.It also will make pulsating noises when running very slow down hill as this motor is controlling the engine braking.

I want to know how you got your ear down there while you were driving it.
