Hi guys,
I haven't posted in a long time. I haven't taken out the 650 this year yet. I noticed while riding around the yard a few times that it was smoking out the exhaust and smelling badly. I verified that the choke springs were faulty. I did a search on the forum and there are two numbers listed in different posts for the upgraded choke assembly springs. Which is the correct part # for the stronger springs?
Also, are they readily available? Thanks.

Jeff Fox is alive? I thought you had rolled it and gone to the "Dice Run in the clouds". At least, I hope that's where you would go, cuz I think that if you went to heck, your quad would overheat continually.

Good to hear from ya.

Thanks.
I rolled in here once in a while and noticed you were keeping the place going so I knew everything was ok. NICE Tech Tip section on your web site. Thanks.

I just got the typical run around from the dealer. What is the correct procedure to get the new springs? I just need the part. My quad is apart and waiting.

I talked to the Kawi rep today. He says there is an upgraded choke cable and he says that Kawi has not upgraded the spring. This is confusing since I have seen pictures of a different spring on some web sites. That must have been for another application. Which is it so I can buy the upgraded spring?

Thanks. I'm surprised at how few responses there have been since I remember this being such a hot topic last year. Oh well. I'll figure it out.

Jeff, I just got home from my local shop where my Praire was in for a check-up. They told me that they had put on a new choke cable that was just received as an update for the 650 Praire. I asked about the springs issue and was told that the cable and not the springs is what Kawi is replacing at the present time.

Dont know if that helps or just adds a bit more confusion?
