The HMF with the quiet core works for me. Yes it is louder than stock, but not objectionable at all. I like the idea of trimming the quiet core and opening it up. I think I'll do that this weekend.

The core is not hard to remove. 3 screws and it is out.

Installation is reasonable. I was able to get the machine on a lift table. That saved my back. I hate working on the floor.

Cost is reasonable too. I bought wheels and tires at the same time from Ky Motosports so I took a sizable hit.

Good luck,

Bob

OK here it goes, I am a hunter, so Noise is a bi factor for me, I am readyto go louder then then stock, but not to much, I do want more HP, For now I am stock, but I ordered a sonrkel, I have a jet kit and a K&N air filter but I am waiting for the snorkel to install it, I think for this year I will make the Nyroc mod to my exhaust, but I will denfenitly by an aftermarket next year. SO any sugestions? What is that Mike penland exhaust?? anywen sites??

Hey there. i have the superTrapp IDSX. It is a full system. It gives you good power and is hardly louder then the stock one. When it is idling it just about seems quiter but it is more of a low pitched sound. It sounds awesome, lots of people say that. I would recomend it. My friend has the hmf and it is way louder then mine and to me it gives him less power. But thats the difference between 600$ and $400. Well later all hope this helps.

Who sells the full system? The I.D.S.-X at RM ATV is less than $300 but looks like only the slip-on.

Prairie 633, SuperTrapp only makes one I.D.S.-X system for the 650. The SuperTrapp part# is 835-6650 and is in stock at RM ATV for 279.99.

You are having problems mounting the NEW exh, or getting the old one off? To put the new one on, loosen the head pipe nuts slightly. DO NOT remove frt. pipe nuts all the way. You should be able to re-use the rear head-pipe gasket. Good luck!
