Prairie 360
#1
I am buying a second quad and I am thinking of the Prairie 360. It will be used mostly for utility work, a lot of pulling and carrying loads and slow speed trail riding.
Anyone who owns one and has a lot of miles on it, I would greatly appreciate your comments on this machine.
Thanks ........... MJSTX

I bought my P360 about two months ago and have logged about 200 miles on it. I have to say I am very pleased with it. It's an awesome machine for work or play! It may not be the fasted utility quad out there but it's got a LOT of torque. More ground clearance than a 650 and comes with a hitch standard. It's got an incrediable awesome suspension on it or at least I think so anyway...It's pretty cool to me when you nail the throttle and you can actually feel the suspension raise up under hard accleration. It's worth every penny!

I have had my 360 for about 5 months now. I do like it. The only big problem is that it is so much louder than a 650. I now have the speedometer for it but I have yet to put it in. I am waiting for the shop manual to come in, just now ordering it.
It has enough power for me and I don't need to go over 50mph any way. The suspension is a too weak when carring a load in a rear drop basket. I think the seat is softer than on a 650. The only vibration that I feel is in the floor boards. For the difference in money I wish I had gone with the 650 for both the power and the silence (well just not near as loud in my opinion). I base this on a friends 2003 650 that I have been riding some helping to break it in.

Thanks for the replies, I was particularly concerned about if there was any of the belt squeeling on take off like the P650 exhibits when the mileage on the belt accumulates. Again thanks for the replies ......... MJSTX

The belt works great. I have a P650 & my neighbor had a P360. He had no problems, but he got a P650 because he liked mine so much. If you are going to use it strictly for utility, I think you should consider an Artic Cat. They do not have all that high-tech stuff that you don't need in a "working" quad. Plus you can get a manual tranny & they cost alot less.
