New Buyer..Should I buy the Kawasaki Ext. Warranty ?

Hello fellow Kawasaki riders..hehehehe..after two years of searching infomation about atv's..I decieded on the Prairie 650..I am A.S.E. master certified for working on cars...so I'am saying I do my own maintance on everything...the question is...Is the $450.-- to $550.00 extra cost needed on the prairie 650's needed..I could use the money for a warn winch or GPS locater...any comment is welcome and thanks in advance...

I'm no mechanic but I like to tinker with the 650 with the help of what I have learned from the guys on this forum. I worry about the high dollar items going out so I got the warranty. It's like buying insurance. You hate it every time you make that monthly payment, but when something happens your sure glad you did.
Search for this thread for a good deal on the warranty. Saved me some bucks.

Ok you will do the work yourself.... you still need parts, the 4wd controller box is worth more than the warrenty. doing work on your 650 might void your warrenty. I put 24000 km on a KVF 400 and my overall cost of that bike was extreamly low because of that warrenty. I put it on my 650 as fast as i could. I sold my 400 with 6 month warrenty when it was 3 years old... Good selling point on a used quad kept the price good.
