Seeing that I bought a 2003 Lakota Sport a month ago for my girlfreind, I do belive they are still being built [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

They were going to discontinue the model, bt decided to give it one more year, as far as I know.

Hmm, to settle your Lakota Questions. 02 was the last year they Produced the lakota Sport. for 03, they had alot of left over 02's, so dealers are selling them as 03's according to kawasaki's approval to mark them as an 03. But the Lakota is a good quad, And knowing kawasaki's Past, they will Suprise the ATV world "Again" with the late but Great new Lakota. if you think about it, Kawi is Good at that, by releasing late Quads all the time. My guess is there making it lighter, and maybe even bumbing up the engine a bit. that would be awesome.

 

They are actually an 03 model, released late because Kawasaki said they had plenty of 02's left to fill orders for the first quarter. The 03's have different exciting new graphics. I suspect that both the Lakota and Mojave will be replaced soon with a different colored Z-250.

 

A guy here in town just bought a brand new Lakota Sport down in Kentucky for $2899+ tax. He had someone pick it up for him and deliver it to his home. It was labled as an 03. I have heard that the mojave will be updated but not by the Z250.

 

Well, Suzuki Comfirmed that the Z-250 will Not be Availible as a kawi model. They want there Z-250 to be Exclusive to Suzuki, because they Know that Kawi already has a good 250 which is faster, Hence the (Mojave).

 

i'm thinking about buying an 03 lakota sport but dont no if they have any problems like overheating. reply and tell me if you have had any problem like that or any other ones i shud know about before buying one myself......thanx
