Can get PR 650 for about $300 less than Grizz. Is the IRS and Grizz worth it??anyone ridden both?

Yes, I rode both on the same day. The list of better is heavily weighted toward the 650. Unless you really gotta have the extra clearance (IRS), there aren't any real reasons to get the griz.

I hope you really are who you say you are, cuz other people have been asking all these same questions over and over, and if you were one of those previous people asking it again under a different name, we would not be very happy with you. If you are really, genuinely asking for the first time, then I apologize for this comment. However, we have been helping people decide between the 650 and 660 for a long time, so, make sure you read all the posts. Hopefully, you all get all the biased oppinions in one shot and then be able to weigh it out.
Some of us spend a lot of our valuable time on this and other forums convincing people how much better the 650 is. I know I could just let someone else do all the talking, but I feel a sense of duty to tell the honest truth to whomever asks.

Hey Trailsnake: I was in the same predicament just recently. 660 or 650?? Well do yourself a favor if you havent already and just read the yamaha posts for the last 6 months and list all the regular problems the Grizz owners are having.
-boiling gas
-floorboards
-overheating etc.
There may be more but these seem to crop up the most. Now Yamaha may have addressed some of them but the boiling gas problem still seems to be an issue with the 03 Grizz.
Prairie 650 owners in general seem to be a fairly happy lot. I know I've had a permanent grin on my face since purchasing my 2 babies. Good luck with your decision.
