My son has a 2001 bayou. We bought the thing new. To me this things autoclutch seems to slip alot more than it should. My nephew also has the same fourwheeler and his clutch grabs much better in the low rpm range.
I know on the Honda that I've had that there's and adjustment for clutch engagement. Is there one on this kawasaki?
thanks.

i think its just like my lakota on the left side of the engine case there should be 1 or 2 plastic covers. behind one of them is the clutch adj. you will see a nut and a short threaded rod(1/2 inch) with a slot on the end. place a flat head screw driver in the slot and back off the nut. rotate the screw driver clockwise untill you feel resistance. turn back ccw untill resistance is felt , hold screwdriver still and tighten jamb nut
its also possible that the shift lever is being held up or down with you not realizing it.
hope this helps later

Thanks for the help.
I found the adjustment on the right side of the engine behind a little black plastic cover.
Owners manual also said to turn screw clockwise till it stops, then counterclockwise till it stops and tighten locknut.
Clutch grabs allot better now.
