Default Bad break!

Hi i haven't been on for other 2 months but that is because i shattered my wrist, severed it, nothing holding it on but the skin! i had 4 surgeries in a week, got over 80 stiches, a rod going threw my arm wich is stiking out of my skin, and a Xray that is very disturbing. This happend about 1 month ago, only
1 1/2 to 2 monthes left in my cast. This is how i did it. I was ridding my 2001 lakota jumping ditches (aproches) doing pretty good, clearing about all of them, untill i hit this one that was about only 3ft tall so i hit it doing about 15-20mph. Big mistake! I nosedived it so far that i landed first and it landed on top of me, my helmet was broke and dug into the dirt, it took a huge chunk out of my leg and well broke my wrist. The Dr. said it was like the 2nd worst break he has ever seen. but i am fine now and cant wait to ride again. so post eny bad crashes here. I would like to hear them.

So ride on and be smart and WEAR A HELMET! It saved my live!

Will you get full mobility back in your hand? I have worked with kids my Munchkins I call them that have one hand. I have rigged up a gizmo allowing 2 hands on the bars for better stability let me now how your hand works out it will be some time before you ragain good dexterity. What's the old story, look before you leap. Take care young fellow get back riding soon!!!!!

Default Bad break!

Hello, I also had the same type of accident on a Cannondale Quad. I was jumping a large gap 110'. I did the jump twice ok, the third time I felt I was going too fast let off as I hit the jump too late to hit the gas again. I flew like 125' going beyond nose first landing on my head/shoulder. I broke my back in 3 places, broke 6 ribs, seperated my shoulder and shattered my wrist into pieces. This happened April 10th, and I still am having trouble using my wrist. I will be getting another operation Nov 20th for my wrist, hoping to relieve some of the pain when I put any weight on it. They may also re-brake it and shorten my ulna. I used to race motocross but looks like I will be giving that up. Selling my KTM 520, sold the Cannondale, and looking to get a sporty4x4 quad. Maby.....just maby race some GNCC utility class. Woln't be riding at least till spring, heard Suzuki may come out with a v-twin big bore 4x4. But for now the Kawasaki is my 1st choice. Like the new v-vorce but want 4x4 for winter ridding in the snow.
