I have heard of trimming the black plastic on the 650, curious if anyone has a picture and or comment on how much more dirt it attracts to the rider. I have just about given up on mine, keeps tearing from the tight trails I ride on! Any ides appreciated......

If you are running stock size tires on stock rims you should be ok. If you are running wider tires and rims leave them on or youll be covered in mud.

I just trimmed the little tabs on the front. After one ride that way, I cut flaps from an old mudflap to replace them. After I cut them off the front tires sprayed water and mud on the center of the rear fenders and from there all over the place.Especially up the girlfriends pantleg while she was on the back.

I use goop reinforced with spent dryer sheets to fix them when they crack (on the backside, sand it first). Works better than buying new ones.

I have never purchased any black trim. I just goop it.

nyroc (oops, Master nyroc),
You need to add a page of all your "goop-erations" to your website! You use goop on everything, and they all look very handy. You may just be a "goop-aholic"
ph
-Seriously, I'd like to see what and how you do all of that.
