Has anyone had mechanical problems, under power issues or any other complaints on this model?

As far as power goes, there is no lack of power on the 360. I have had mine only about a month, but I have put it thru its paces. I packed out a 6x7 bull elk with it and it did much better than I expected. So far no mechanical issues. If this model is as dependable as most Kawasakis are, it will hold up just fine.

The only problem I have ever encountered with mine is getting taken care of as we speak LOL....For some reason right out of the blue it wouldn't lock into 4WD...I took it back to the dealer and it was a 4WD solenoid that needed to be replaced...Under warranty! No big deal I've talked to over guys with 360's and 650's and they have never had a problem like that.

Thanks for the input and congradulations on your Elk! The 360 appears to be very popular and when I sat on it, my big frame feels comfortable.

I test drove one, and it seemed to vibrate alot. My hands & feet felt numb after a short ride.
Was it just me? or because it was new?
I was ready to buy until this.
Now I'm waiting till next year to get the 650.
Sould I still consider the 360? I wheigh about 250.

...When we first got our 03 360...I too thought it vibrated too much...but to tell the truth..after we put about 10 -15 hours on it...it didn't seem to vibrate as much...the free air on any machine will have a little "tingle" vs the liquid cooled ones...I bought my wife the 360 and I got the 650 V-twin...we both find ourselves looking forward to getting back on the 360 after taking turns on the 650...It really handles well...lighter steering than the 650..and just really fun..Don't get me wrong I love the 650....we don't even notice the "vibration" much anymore..just wish the 360 could have been a 400cc or450cc...later

I just got my 360 a few weeks ago and I find it under powered and do vibrate alot compared to the 400 honda foreman and it is a pig on gas. I cant make it 64 miles then I go on reserve where on a 64 mile trip the 400 hoda does it on $4.00 less than the 360 kawasaki. If you want a good deal in the next few months the kawasaki is gone and I am gone back to the honda

I bought my 360 last march and put probably around 800 miles on it while I had it. I started having problems from the beginning and they never ended...until we traded it for a p650.

1. Intake boot on carbeurator & head tore--wasn't assembled correctly. Pain in my rear that day. Part was backordered for over a month.
2. Vapor locking??? No one was ever able to find out what this problem was. We tried MANY things. I would be climbing a hill from h#ll and it would completely lose power. Engine would still be running, but it would not respond to the throttle. Had to go down backwards. Many times. Sucked. Happened on flat ground, too. Not just hills. Even checked to see if a piece of the old intake boot was in carbeurator--it wasn't.
3. CV Boot tore--wasn't assembled correctly.
4. Boot on front diff--can't remember what went wrong with that, had to bring it in, the the front diff wasn't working at all.
5. GAS GUAGE BLEW OUT OF TANK THREE TIMES. Gas went everywhere. They put a new part on the guage that was silver instead of black. Maybe I wasn't the only one that had problems with this. Wasn't cool.
6. I could keep going. I try to forget all the problems I had with this thing. It was a nightmare. In theory, it was a great machine. When it worked, I loved what it did. I did feel that the center of gravity was a little high. I like that the gas tank is lower on the 650. Kaw could put better tires and rims on both, though. They aren't very tough at all.

I think I had a lemon, and I don't think that all the 360's are like this. They must have told the person assembling this on a Friday afternoon that he could go home after he finished this last one. Maybe, though, you guys can watch for some of these things on yours. I hope none of you have these problems.
