It would be a great idea, if your dealer will do it for you. Seems like the belt is loose on many machines right from the factory. $350 is less than $100 per year. A good value, I think.

Just ride it. If the belt "chirps" on take-off get it back in to the dealer asap. They seem to set up the belt loose at the factory to keep the clutch/belt running quiet. ENJOY the ride!!!!!!!!! Congrats.

As long as you don't go to far over it it isn't like the 10 hr mark comes and you have to drop everything on the trail and change it right there. Go hunting have fun and change it when you get back. No the dealer doesn't have to do it for warranty.

You should be able to make many hunting trips before you hit the 10 hour mark. That is the longest 10 hours I have ever experienced when I can't wait to turn the thing loose and go past half throttle. It's best to use that throttle stop screw to discipline yourself. 1/2 throttle is plenty of power to do normal riding and it's best to set that screw to keep yourself from getting too wild on it.

Rebel--- LOL I would agree. During break-in, I remember riding it, and thinking D@mn this thing is fast at 1/2 throttle. What in the he!! will it be like at FULL throttle!!???!!!! AWESOME is the answer!

Half throttle?

My dealer told me that for the 1st 20 hours, I wand to ride it hard including full throttle and to use every aspect of the machine. 4x4, diff.,etc. He told me I should give it full throttle on every take off for the belt to engage properly. Any truth to that? You have got me a little worried. At 3 hours, I was pushing it to 63 mph. It sure runs awesome but I would hate to think that I have done something to hurt it.
