Default silly question? (p650 fluid change)

I am relatively new to the service my own ATV thing, but thanks to many of your tips and links (and Nyroc the Wildcat Website) I gave it a shot. Actually, I am starting with the easy stuff.

I changed rear diff (mobil 424), front diff (syntec 20w-50), and engine oil/filter (Mobil MX4-T) today. My bike only has 75 miles on it (11 hours), and I haven't been in any mud/H2O yet. After changing the fluids, I rode it for a few minutes, and then checked the levels again. The Rear diff fluid was a little bubbly when I checked it (brand new fluid). Is that normal? I have heard that oil that has been contaminated with water could look like this, so I thought I had better ask?

Thanks

This may be normal. Oil that has water contamination will look milky, like homemade choc. milk without enough choc. If it is just bubbly, its prob. air. The spinning parts of the final drive and brake are not completely submerged in oil. Therefore they will stir in some air as they rotate. A small amout of air bubbles will not hinder lub qualities. However, if there is a great deal of air or foaming, try an anti-foam additive avalable at auto parts stores. Are the bubbles still there after the quad has set for a short amount of time? If not, prob. ok. Thanks

You can use any 60x60 (or smaller image file. You can take someone else's, or go to my website -> techtips ->kawasaki ->images and you will find green, red and camo 650 icons. Once you have the image file on your PC, go to this forum and select profile and go from there.

I have my own picture that I want to use for my icon but for some reason I can't get in shrunk down small enough to be used? It keeps saying picture size exceeds limit. I have reduced the size and resolution so small you can't see it. Help!

scale it using ms paint until it is 60 pixels or less wide and tall. Save it as a gif. If your paint is old enough it might not save as a gif. Ms photoeditor works very well too. Photoshop, konvertore. Look on cnet for free software, you will find something somewhere that does the trick. There are also some online image processors that will do the trick for you.

I use Gimp, which comes with Redhat Linux. I don't know what macs have, but I bet they can do the trick easily too.

nyroc,

I just checked your site over quickly and will refer back to it in the future.

My tech tips section has a lot of useful information.
