My 360 owners manual states if it's ridden above 4000 ft on a regular basis, it should be re-jetted & some kind of adjustment on the belt should be made. My dealer says no mod's need be made, but why would Kawi have that in the owner's manual if nothing need be done? Does anyone have any suggestions on this? I am never below 4500 ft & am generally between 6500 - 10,000 ft when riding.

I grew up in N. Ogden near the divide, and I lived in S. Ogden when I was in my early 20s near that hospital (that used to be called St. Benedicts) for a couple of years. I worked at that Gymnasium on 25th street and also for Arrow Dynamics in the freeport center. Went to WSU. Bought my truck at Westland. Still have an America First account.
Engines don't have near the torque at high altitude, so the High altitude kit allows the 650 to rev up a little higher to get the power out a little morer.
Engines run richer the higher up you go. Rich generally doesn't cause problems, except fuel consumption and fouling plugs.
The dealer has had feedback from other people who ride in areas like you do, who probably told them that their machine has been working fine. The dealer may have sold it to you jetted just right for typical utah riding.
That does not mean your machine can't be tuned better than it is. Keep your eye on the inside of the tailpipe or look at the plugs. The tail pipe should not be black, but should have a medium gray soot. No soot is too lean. I'm sure you know what the plugs shouls look like.
