Prairie 650 & Toyota Truck
I have a 6.5ft bed, and I either remove the tgate, or leave it down. The tires will still be sitting safely in the bed of your yota, but you can't shut the tgate.
I am also using a narrow box (97 ford flareside), which may be narrower than the bed on the yota, and I have 2 inches to spare.
There are some very secure atv locking systems that either use the hitch, or bolt thru the bed, so don't worry about reduced security of not locking the tgate. You can still lock it.
