are the 1 inch front.rear wheel spacers any good? they are alot cheaper than a wider axle/a-arms. Do they break? i need to widen the back so it will stop hitting my dg exaust. also, the dg exaust has no clamp for the head pipe and it comes undone sometimes, should i put a pipe clamp on it?

I have a DG steel pipe on my 1987 Mojave, it to hit the rear tire. What clamp are you talking about? Don't use wheel spacers because it puts too much stress on the spindels and wheel bearings. Just do a search for wheel spacers.

I had the same problem with mine. To correct this I unbolted the pipe and moved the hanger to the inside of the frame and put the bolt in from the inside.I also needed a couple of washers to push it further. This moves the pipe in further and now mine doesnt hit anymore.Cheap fix compared to a new axle.
