Default P650 CVT heat

When riding, especially slow speed in LOW, I get a lot of heat from the CVT vent. How hot is too hot, is there an overheat light.

Will the water wetter from Highlifter help this? It is hot enough to cause concern, but it might be normal. Any advice?

Water wetter is for the coolant system. It is totally different from the CVT vent system.

Mine gets pretty warm, and I'm always in high at 30+mph. But it sure is nice on below freezing days to have a nice warm plastic heater available. I don't think you need to worry about excess heat... unless it's starts to get all droopy or something.

I remember mine getting very hot. However, I can't remember hardly any heat coming out of it since I put the black spring in and adjusted it tight.

Am I just dreamin, or have any of you 650 people with the black spring installed noticed this?

Any more thoughts on this, the black spring should be here any day!!!! Hopefully what Nyroc said is true, and it will help out with the heat.
