I took a spin over to the highlifter site and did a search on the tire form for mud lites and them fellers are saying that the mud lites arent really a (mud tire) and dont do all that well in the mud, and are even worse on steep hills. I am buying a P650 in the spring and would like to know what tires to put on it. I ride 50% trails/rocks, 25% DEEP mud, and 25% VERY STEEP hills. people are saying that itp 589,s suck on hills and rob power but are good in the mud and mud lites are lite and dont rob any power but arent good in mud or steep hills???? This in agervating.

It sounds like these tires are comparable but lighter than beraclaws. I don't know if they are advertised as being a mud tire or a trail tire but if they are the same style as a bearclaw they definetly aren't going to be an excellent mud tire but will be a good all around tire.

I got mine at 4atvtires.com also. I havent had a dry day yet to try them out. As long as they work better than stock, whether I'm on dry ground, snow or mud, I will be happy.

Good Point swampdonkey,
It seems to me that they are leaning heavily for the mud marketing since their name is Mudlite. Too bad that hilifter doesn't rate them well in the mud. Could just be some bias since hilifter has their own brand of tires. Just a thought.

When jjs3788 get's his act together and get's his muddy, we will be able to see what he thinks of them. jjs3788, all eye's are on you, tell us what you think?

I'm trying conman, here in Maryland we were in a drought for what seemed forever. As soon as I got my tires it started snowing here. I am supposed to go to a local quarry this weekend and its been raining here for 2 days now, so hopefully I'll get it muddy this weekend.

I am not yet sold on mine. But all the listings I saw on the High Lifter sight were positive thats where I get alot of feedback I cant remember seeing any that were not.( I musta looked at 20 or so all good.) . What I can tell you is that they are great snow tires (no mud until spring I live in Montana sorry) The other 3 650,s in my club have 589,s they all like my tires better. But again this is snow and my quad has ben tuned by an old flattracker Buddy of mine (He can make a 4 stroke ROAR) and just smokes the other 650s in the club so they might have ben influninced by the quads preformance. So far I like them alot but the jury is out for me until spring breakup.

Yep Chaosinmt,

I noticed the same thing. After I posted my last post, I went to highlifter and ran a search and noticed the same thing. A few posted that they were compromise tires, well, unless you want to suck at trail and hardpack, they are all compromise tires. I think the tires look killer, but I don't care about that, I do care about how they perform and it appears that the jury is still out, but leaning favorably.

Time will tell.

In the snow bald tires will work good! My uncle has a Big Bear 350 with completely worn out stock tires and it goes just as far as the rest of them. Only on the hills does it do worse than the rest.

I bought the Mud Lites, because I wanted an "All Terrrain Tire" to go with my "All Terrain Vehicle".
I wanted somthing that will do well at everything...so maybe it is a compromise tire. But I didn't buy my P650 to be a single purpose machine. I don't find it very convienent to rip down trails on ATR's (hauling Outlaws) down to the mudhole, switch the tires over, play in the mud for a while, switch tires back to the ATR's an go rip again.

IT all depends on what a person wants to do. There is no perfect tire. From my riding experiences for general trail riding "which is what I bought the P650 for" I will get the ITP ATRs or the Maxxis All-Trax as my next set of tires.

If I want to mud ride I will take the Kodiak.
