I know that a few folks here have gotten the mudlites, but I can't find hardly any reports for them. How are they in various terrain such as hardpack, rocks, mud, and hills. Any info would be most appreciated since these will be on my prairie very soon unless I hear otherwise.

Conman, I just got the 27" mud lites on c series wheels. I really like them. I just rode at Tower City today and they were great. Went up some pretty big hills and was in 2wd the whole time. I only wish I would have gotten the 26" tires instead to save some of the sportiness. They would be fine if I had another set of tires that were a little smaller since I like to jump alot. The 27's are just a bit big for that. But, I think you will like them, I do. I have about 20 miles on mine, and all 20 have been in the snow.

Thanks jjs. Actually, I am thinking about grabbing the 28's. I have been fourwheeling for about 6 months now (the 650 was my first atv) and have decided that I like the trails, but love the mud. I wanted some tires that were light, but were still good mudders, and these sound custom made for me. From what I read, the 28's will be even lighter than the setup that I have now with the 26" bearclaws, and the 650 is plenty sporty for me with these on. Plus, I haven't even started the modding yet such as the snorkle, jet kit, aftermarket exhaust etc, so if the big meats do take away some of the zip, there are plenty of ways that I can get it back!

ConMan I was loaned some 28,s In short they suck at just about everything I mean realy suck. Does your ATV handle to good ? Is it to agile ? Does it conner to good ? does it feel like the center of gravity is to low ? Does it seem to have to littel unsprong weight ? Is it to fast ? You dont like keeping up with your buddys ? (does not apply if they ride Hondas) Is your ATV to realiable and and need parts stressed out by larg tires ? Or did you realey want a Honda and are trying to dog yours out. The list of what Large tires do very bad is very long !!!! The list of what they do good is very short !!!! Ground clearance thats it ! It helps onley in very deep mud or snow or climbing over things like rocks. I live in the snow and 28,s arnt the ticket hear. We still like to handle.

I agree with the stress thing, I certainly don't want to put unnecessary stress on the suspension, however, the tire weight is what does this, not necessarily the tire height. The 28" mudlites are lighter (significantly) than my current setup which is not that bad for aftermarket meats.
As far as the COG, the 28's will raise it by 1.5 inches over my current setup, however, I will have less unsprung weight which is always a good thing.
As far as cornering, again, it will only be 1.5 inches taller, but 1 inch wider. I didn't have any handling issues with the stock tires, certainly traction issues though, certainly you are not telling me that these will handle worse than the stockers are you?
As far as the speed thing, bigger tires will allow you a higher top speed, they just will not usually let you get there as fast because you are spinning more weight at a larger circumference. Again, these are lighter than my current setup, so acceleration should not be adversely affected.
If anyone would like to correct my statements above, please feel free, I don't like bashing, but I would like some hard facts as to why a person says the things they say.
Thanks for your input...
