queastions about the P650
I will be buying a new quad in the next month or so and I have 95% made up my mind on the peairie. I just have a few questions about it.
(1) how much problems have you been haveing out of the belt?
(2) will the black spring increas belt life?
(3) What does the red spring do and will it increas belt life?
(4) how many miles are you getting out of youre belt?
(5) If you run through deep water will you have to be pulled home or does it effect the belt?
(6) If the belt breaks can I change it on the trail?
(7) I'll probally put 27in 589s on it' will that effect belt life?
(8) Is there ANY way to switch a P650 to a manule shift????????
As you can tell I,m verry afraid of a belt drive atv but hopefully you all can answer my queastions and solve that fear.

1. None
2. Yes
3. It lets the motor rev higher before the clutch engages for snappier take offs/no
4. Judging from other peoples experience,1000 miles with a properly adjusted belt.
5. On the off chance that you get water in the clutch box, reving the motor in nuteral will dry the belt. For what its worth, if gone through water up to my headlights and havent had any problems with a wet belt.
6. Sure but you will need a ratchet, one socket{10mm I think}, and one long extention.
7. Big aggressive tires can be harder on a belt but its more your ridding style that effects its life.
8. Not that Ive ever heard of.
