How does a tecate compare in a drag race with a lt250r or a trx250r? Does anyone know how much horsepower they put out?

 

I had an '87 T-4. Mine did approximately 73 mph. The '87 & '88 T-4's will out run a TRX250R short drag, 1/4 mile and top speed. But, T-4's are no match for an Lt250R. The Lt will kill it short drag and 1/4 mile. Top speed isn't a lot more on the Lt. But, the Lt it could have less top end than the T-4 and still win out on a 1/4 mile due to awesome acceleration. Trust me, I should know, I've owned all three.

As for HP, I don't know exacts, but the T-4 has more stock HP than the TRX250R.

 

I have an `88 T-4 and my buddy paced me with his truck. He said I was doing a hair over 80mph. It smokes his 250r 3-wheeler and I have a slightly modified Tri-Z250 that will nip at it`s tailpipe.

 

i love to drag race in the sand and i know when my tecate was stock it would beat lt and 250r's. The stock **** power on a tecate is 42
