My brother-in-laws '03 650 Prairie out ran my '99 Scrambler 500 4x4. He got an awesome holeshot, then slowly pulled a 4wheeler length lead. I rode this machine part of the day, and hat's off to Kawasaki, they built an impressive machine. I originated from a 2-stroke 250R, then made my way to the hybrid Scrambler 500. If I bought another today, it would be the Kawasaki Prairie.

I got whipped by a 650 when I had a stock Sport 400L, talk about embarrassed. Once I put a pipe on the polaris ,the 2 stroke ran a lot harder. Got my vengence on the 650. But anyway, kawi did an awesome job on the prarie, a mud boggin 4 wheeled rocket. They can go boggin w/ the 4 wheel drives, then when they get bored they give sport quads a run on the drags. In 4 high they launch hard and usually holeshot the opponent.
I'd love to see a modded prarie with 4 paddles turning in the sand,I bet that Beast would kick butt!!!!

the prairie should win in the race it has 150cc and it only weighs like 50 pounds more plus v-twin im not saying the prairie isint awsome they are fast and can beat some sport bikes, but i think polaris made one hell of a engine in the scrambler with it weighing 570 it halls with only 499cc. this isint to start nothing i was just saying how good they made the 500HO engine
