Default Prairie 650 and first roll

Well, I had my first incident with my 650 this past weekend. I was going maybe 10-15 mph in deep rutted snow. Stupid me, I was only holding on to the handlebars with my right hand because I had my left hand blocking the brutal cold windchill temps against my face. I must have caught a rut or something because I got pulled suddenly to the right and into a metal guardrail. I flew right over the bars, luckily landing in snow. Dented my rim pretty bad. Anyone have a spare front '02 silver OEM rim they'll sell me?

Been there, done that! Those stock rims sure are a soft! Well, there is a first time for everything. Now that we have both rolled our 650's for the first time maybe next time won't be such a surprise!

good luck finding rims.

I had to replace my front rim at one time and it was about $75. Check your A-arm over carefully and make sure it didn't get tweaked.

Do you need a front or rear rim? I have two fronts and one rear.

Sorry I did'nt read close enough to see that it was a front. I'll make you a good deal on all three, or let them go seperatly. $100 for all three or $40 a piece plus shipping. Have pics if you want to see them. No scratches or dents like new!

Dash, I love em! the only thing is they are a lot heavier than the stock rims, but I don't have to worry about them bending. Also there is no center caps available for them yet. I have the stock set with dunflops in storage to use in the summer months.

dash,

I ride mostly on the bench in Layton. My in-laws live at the top close to the new construction at the end of highway 193.
I am told the "B" is awesome riding in winter or summer. I am planning a trip to the dunes down south in a couple weeks and I am very excited to show off the beast!

Let's go riding some time.
I live in Syracuse.

Not far away at all!

92 LT,
Hey here's your excuse to get some new rims. Just tell your wife they're important for your safety...lol

Cammoman,
Thanks for the input. I am considering buying them because I want a tougher rim with without increasing the weight. Sounds like they fit that description.

Trailburner,
I just moved from Syracuse a year ago. (I used to live in Banburry ) There are a few of us Kawi folks that should get together for a ride...
