Default Shifter Problems Again !

I had a problem about a month ago when I was going up a hill and my P650 seemed to come out of low range. I took it to the dealer for warranty service and they told me what I figured was wrong. The shifter needed to be adjusted. When it seemed to come out of gear that time the shifter looked as if it was still engaged. Well, today I was running up a real steep hill in 2wd, when all the sudden the shifter popped out of gear. The lever was in between low and high. I put a death grip on the brakes, as I didnt wanna ride backwards down the hill. Luckily I was able to get it into high range on the hill and click in 4wd and it pulled me up the hill. Does this sound like they didnt properly adjust the shift linkage or might there be another problem ? The dealer told me when they adjusted it the last time that it is a real touchy adjustment because when they put it where they liked it they couldnt get the neutral and reverse lights adjusted properly. They told me they had to almost pull it into reverse just to get the neutral light to light up. Does it sound like they dont know what they are doing ? I really dont wanna have to worry everytime I go up a steep hill in the future that its gonna pop outta gear on me. This thing is awesome but I cant afford to get hurt if its gonna be prone to doing this. Any ideas on what I should do to remedy this ?

Thanks, John

I had this happen to me. I would check the tightness of the bolt where the shifter rode goes in the motor. Mine managed to get so loose that if I was driving along about 20 km the tires locked up solid. It sent me flying. Thankfully I was not going faster when this happened. We just tighten it and I never seen that problem again.
