Default Yellow Spring ?????

BC, Nightryder has it right. The stock spring for an '02 650 is Yellow (at least mine was). How do you like that Black spring in the secondary? You won't notice much difference from stock in the way it engages, but your belt will! If you want to see a performance improvement, then go for the red or yellow primary spring. I am going to get a set of ramp weights when I can afford to. That is where you will see a definite performance gain.

Thanks Nightryder,

Mastrblastr ,
Only got a chance to ride for a few minutes but the spring seems to help with
bottom end accelleration
my dealer has a orange spring in stock .
the way I follow the color coding orange should be in between red and yellow
do you think it would be worth it ?

If you are just blasting fire roads and powerline roads, I'd give it a try. They aren't big money, so if you don't like it, take it out. I'd seriously consider the ramp weights when EPI gets them out.

By the way, how do you like the Mudlites? I have a friend of mine who is really interested in a set.

Default Yellow Spring ?????

mastrblastr,
I only have about 15 hours of riding time on the mudlites but I really love them
awesome in the mud and seem to work better than the 589's in the snow ( buddy has them on 660 griz)
I think it has to do with the open area in the tread block.
They seem to be wearing well but time will tell
I can't compare them to stock tires as I told the dealer that I wouldn't take the bike out of the shop unless he changed the tires
Overall Iwould reccomend them for your bud

Tried out the orange spring in the bike last night jury is still out on whether or not to keep it in.
Sure launches hard now !
gonna see about borrowing a tach to see at what RPM it is engaging at.
I'll Keep the group posted.
