Default How hard is it work on the carb of a lokata

hey i read the manual the other day and it said to take off the gas tank. i dont have the bike here at my house to look at it. has anyone removed the carb and cleaned it without taking of the tank and stuff.thanks

It's very hard to do if you haven't done it before. If you can reach up there and get the throtle cable and fuel line off it makes it easier. But do to the stock air box coming down so low on the left side it's difficult to get the choke cable out, but even more difficult to get it back in.

I have done it so many times I can't put a number with it. I realy don't suggest you try.

The slide diaphram alone cost $100. This is the most mest up part when poeple try to do it for the first time, forget about trying without taking the plastic off.

hey
thanks man i will take the plastic off and then ill check it out.thanks for the info.im going away tom. so ill try it when i get back.i didnt want to do all that for the little carb but if you have to i will take off what i need.later
