Default prairie 650 rev limiter

i was out riding my prairie and once i got it up to 60 mph it just acted like the motor shut down. once i let off of the throttle and hit it again it was ok until it hit between 60 and 63 mph. would the belt being a little bit loose have anything to do with this? i think its a little loose because it queels on takeoff. any help would be appreciated. it just worries me what is going on because over the summer i had it up to 67 mph and had no trouble. the belt didnt squeel then though.

not to get off topic but Steelhead I see you have the wagner headlight bulbs. Do they make a significant difference, or are they just an equivelent replacement blub thats a lot cheaper than the stockers.
